Assessing the Relative Importance of Price, Safety, Energy Efficiency, Brand Reputation, and Warranty in Car Selection using SMART Method as Decision Support System

The Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) is a decision support system that widely used for evaluating and comparing alternatives based on multiple criteria. In this study, we applied the SMART method to assess relative importance of price, safety, energy efficiency, brand reputation, warranty in car selection. We assigned scores each model criterion, weighted criteria their importance, calculated an overall score model. results study show simple easy-to-use tool can help making informed decisions allows inclusion both quantitative qualitative criteria, it versatile applicable wide range decision-making problems. Future research could focus developing methods address limitations method. Another area be integrate with other tools, such as multi-criteria analysis or artificial intelligence, improve its performance applicability.
